Born and raised in Louisville, Ky, Ashley Stinson studied photography at the Maryland Institute College of Art and worked at the Maine Photographic Workshops before returning to Louisville. She currently works full-time as a commercial photographer and continues to work on personal photographic projects dealing with women and women's issues. For the past year she has been photographing the female inmate farming program at the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex. It is her hope that the series "Fredonia" will show the success of this particular farming initiative and promote the idea of innovative thinking within our prison system. Her images have been exhibited in numerous locations and published in a variety of media.
Ashley's reception will be on July 20th from 4pm to 7pm
Exhibit starts June 18th, 2012 and goes on through October 1st, 2012
